This Privacy Policy explains how TeeScout ("the app", "we", "us") handles information when you use it. TeeScout is a golf tournament discovery app operated by ReibLAR, LLC. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the app.

Information We Collect
Location data. When you tap the “Near me” button, the app requests your device location to find and sort tournaments near you. Location is accessed only while the app is in the foreground and only at that moment. We do not track your location in the background and do not store a location history.
Data stored on your device. Your saved (favorited) tournaments, your chosen search radius, and — if you turn it on — a local “interest profile” used for sponsor recommendations are stored on your device using local storage. This information stays on your device and can be cleared at any time in Settings → Clear local interest profile, or by uninstalling the app. Personalized sponsor recommendations are off by default.
Advertising data. TeeScout displays ads using Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). To serve ads, Google may collect and process a mobile advertising identifier and information about ad interactions and your device. Where required by law, you will be asked for consent (via Google’s User Messaging Platform, and, on iOS, App Tracking Transparency) before personalized ads are shown. You can review your ad privacy choices in Settings → Google ad privacy choices where available.
Network requests. To load current tournament listings, the app may request data from our tournament aggregation service over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. When the service is unavailable, the app falls back to tournament data bundled inside the app.
How We Use Information
- To show tournaments near you and sort them by distance.
- To remember your saved events and preferences on your device.
- To display and measure ads that keep the app free.
- To open official registration and information pages in your browser when you choose to.
Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. Information is shared only with:
- Google (AdMob / Google Mobile Ads) — for advertising. See Google’s Privacy Policy and how Google uses data.
- Service providers that host our tournament data service, acting on our behalf.
When you tap “Register now,” “Official tournament information,” or a map link, you leave TeeScout and open a third-party website governed by its own privacy policy.
Your Choices
- Location: deny or revoke the location permission in your device settings; the rest of the app still works (you can search by city, ZIP, or course).
- Ads consent: manage consent via the in-app privacy options and your device’s ad-tracking settings.
- Local data: clear it via Settings, or uninstall the app.
Children’s Privacy
TeeScout is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Data Security & Retention
Network traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Data you create in the app is stored locally on your device and retained until you clear it or uninstall the app.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
